Prevention is our most powerful tool in the fight against breast cancer. It is important to remember that imaging assessment alone is not enough. A physical examination by a specialized breast surgeon is an integral part of prevention. Through this examination, changes that are not always visible on imaging tests can be detected, contributing to early diagnosis and effective treatment.

Genetic Counseling – Protection for the Future

In collaboration with specialized geneticists:

• We provide information on your risk of developing cancer based on your family and individual/genetic profile.
• We propose individualized prevention strategies.
• We discuss the possibility of preventive interventions (e.g., prophylactic mastectomy or oophorectomy) to reduce the risk.
  
  

Comprehensive Care in One Visit
Our goal is to minimize your discomfort and anxiety, by offering everything you need in a single visit, with respect for your needs and time. During your visit:

• A physical examination is performed by a specialized breast surgeon.
• If necessary, we arrange additional imaging tests (ultrasound, mammogram).

• If necessary, we conduct an immediate biopsy, using the most appropriated method for the lesion. We work closely with our Hospital's specialized breast imaging department and the Internal Medicine laboratory in order to obtain the most accurate and reliable results.

Breast Reconstruction – Restoring Femininity & Self-Confidence
In cases where a mastectomy is required, breast reconstruction is an essential part of the treatment.

Reconstruction options include:

• Immediate reconstruction (during the mastectomy): To reduce the psychological burden, reconstruction can be performed during the same surgical procedure.
• Delayed reconstruction: If immediate reconstruction is not feasible, there is the option of surgery at a later stage.
• Breast reconstruction with implants: We use high-quality silicone implants to achieve a natural result.
• Autologous tissue reconstruction: Tissues from your body (e.g., from the abdomen or back) are used when deemed necessary based on our treatment plan.

Our team works closely with specialized plastic surgeons, ensuring that the reconstruction process is tailored to your needs, both physical and psychological.

Each patient is evaluated in regular interdisciplinary meetings with all the necessary specialties (internist, radiologist, plastic surgeon, internist oncologist, geneticist, radiation oncologist) where decisions are made based on the most up-to-date scientific data. The treatment plan is tailored to the individual needs of each patient, ensuring:

We understand that every woman who comes to us experiences different concerns. We listen to you carefully and ensure that you feel safe and supported at every stage of your treatment and after the end of your treatment. We work closely with specialized mental health professionals and physiotherapists. As part of our long-term collaboration with “ALMA ZOIS” association (Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer), for the first time in our hospital we are implementing the “Reach to recovery” program providing support to our patients from trained volunteers of the association.

Social Action

The scientific staff of our clinic voluntarily participates in all relevant informational and social actions of “AGKALIAZO” Group of Volunteers Against Cancer, providing scientific support for its valuable work.
