The Hellenic Olympic Committee and Henry Dunant Hospital Center are still together on the road to the Olympic Games of “Paris 2024”. The renewal of HOC’s collaboration with the Henry Dunant as Sponsor of the Paris 2024 Olympic Team was sealed today by the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, Mr. Spyros Capralos and the President and CEO of the Henry Dunant Hospital Center, Mr. Themos Charamis, who co-signed the contract for the new cycle of their joint course.
The collaboration, which ensures free coverage of athletes’ health needs - in pre-participation screening, diagnostic tests, as well as interventions or hospitalization whenever it is needed - practically supports all athletes who prepare for participating in the top sporting event of the planet, accompanying their efforts by providing high-quality medical services in one of the country’s most modern hospital centers, certified by the leading International Organization Joint Commission International (JCI).
It’s a social sponsorship within the wider “Adopt an athlete on the way to Paris 2024” program designed by the Hellenic Olympic Committee for supporting at multiple levels the plan of Olympic preparation and the team of athletes who claim a place in the Olympic Team.
“The Tokyo Olympics was a starting point, and despite the pandemic, the result made us all proud. We are equally proud and confident that the renewal of our collaboration on the way to Paris 2024 will bring new successful results”, pointed out the President and CEO of the Henry Dunant Hospital Center, Mr. Themos Charamis, and added: “This collaboration is fully in line with the strategic objectives of Henry Dunant and the Piraeus Bank in the context of corporate social responsibility. In the same context, we have a long partnership with, and continue to support the efforts of the national teams of several sports federations. With the decision, however, to stand by the athletes as Supporters of the Greek Olympic Team, our message becomes much bigger, demonstrating our support of all Greek sports and of the athletes who serve them and want to raise the country even higher. It’s a common goal we have with the Hellenic Olympic Committee and our compass”.
For his part, the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, Mr. Spyros Capralos said: “The Henry Dunant Hospital Center continues to provide diagnostic tests, hospitalization and surgical operation services in the event of accident or illness, ensuring help for all our athletes. Every one can understand how important this help is, especially for those who work out and train so intensively for so many hours every day, and for whom an injury is the biggest hurdle they may encounter on the road to Paris. These kids now know that they have ensured the medical care and prevention that we all know is a major concern for their preparation. They also know that in the event of illness or injury they will get the best treatment available by a well-trained and qualified medical and nursing staff”.
