Obesity is one of the biggest challenges for public health in the 21st century, as the nexus of diseases associated with it has taken alarming dimensions in the Western world, while in most European countries obesity cases have tripled since the 1980s. According to the World Health Organization, more than 50% of the European population is expected to be affected by 2030.
On the occasion of the European Day Against Obesity (May 18), Henry Dunant Hospital Center participates in actions that aim at obesity prevention and raising public awareness about the negative effects of this morbid condition.
In this context, interested parties will be offered:
- Free clinical examination by a specialized Bariatric Surgeon, with an appointment scheduled from Monday May 20, to Friday May 24, 2019.Please note that in the event of a pathological finding during the examination, re-examination will also be free of charge.
